Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy Services
A to Z Speech Therapy has provided Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy Services to the Innisfil and Barrie communities since 2011! We are able to provide all of our speech therapy services in both English and French.
New in 2024, we now offer Occupational Therapy. Our team of experts are highly specialized in treating children and adolescents with a range of communication and sensory difficulties as well as fine and gross motor difficulties.
Our Approach
Every child is different and we will spend as much time as needed to build the right treatment plan for your child based on their needs. Frequency of therapy is flexible and is wholly dependent on each individual child’s needs. Services are covered by most extended health insurance plans and are tax deductible. A receipt will be issued at the time of service to submit directly to your insurance provider.

Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy Services
Pediatric Speech Therapy
Speech-language pathologists focus on the assessment and treatment of a broad range of speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication impairments. They focus on all forms of communication and are trained to treat specific areas such as articulation, language, reading, writing, motor speech disorders, social skills and can provide alternate modes of communication for non-speaking children such as AAC. The assessment can help identify areas of need which can allow us to provide strategies and recommendations for therapy.Â
Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy works on everyday life skills. For children, it may be their fine motor skills for writing, printing, doing up buttons or zippers, gross motor movements such as jumping, climbing and going up and down stairs. OT can also include eating (tolerance for different textures) or playing with peers (engaging with others). In the OT assessment, the Occupational Therapist will assess the child’s motor planning, body awareness, sensory processing and self regulation through games and parent interviews. This can help identify areas of need which can allow us to provide strategies and recommendations for therapy.
